About Steel Frame Building Systems
Steel Framing Systems
Initially utilizing the red steel, post and beam system with posts 8 feet apart for residential and typical "Butler type" designs for commercial applications, it became obvious that the lack of flexibility with these systems would not allow for intricate roof lines and more interesting floor plans.

In the late 80's, the design for what is now the REPco system had begun.
By the early to mid 90's a system was created that made it possible to do anything that wood could do and a whole lot that wood could not do. In the process, the wall and roof configurations were designed with integrated bracing for strength and thermal breaks to eliminate over 90% of the thermal conductivity found in the "Red Steel" and typical steel stud systems. This totally eliminated the ghosting seen on walls and ceilings in cold climates and greatly improved energy efficiency.
